5/2/2016 - News This Way Comes...
Welcome friends! Time for a quick rundown of this week’s Gaming news.
April 27 - Nintendo announced that their next console in development, codenamed NX, is scheduled for release in March 2017. In addition to the release date Nintendo revealed that the new console will not appear at this year’s E3 convention. The announcements were made as part of the company’s quarterly fiscal report.
April 27 - As a part of that same report Nintendo declared that the Legend of Zelda game currently being developed will be released next year on both the new NX console and the current WiiU. This amounts to a delay of a full year. The WiiU version of new game will be the focus of the company’s E3 efforts since as we learned above Nintendo will not discuss the NX at the show.
April 29 - Attempting to give Playstaion fans hands on experience with their new VR headset, Sony announced the return of the “Road to Greatness” demo tour. The tour will feature Playstation VR and VUE demos, local multiplayer tournaments, and giveaways. More details can be found on the tour’s official website.
That’s about it for this week. So this year’s E3 is really shaping up to set the world on fire, huh?
